Notes & controversies
- Genesis 11:26 says Terah was 70 when he fathered Abram, Nahor, and Haran, but Genesis 11:32 (Terah dies at 205), Genesis 12:4 (Abram leaves Haran at 75), and Acts 7:4 (Abram leaves after his father's death) together require Terah to have been about 130 at Abram's birth. The standard resolution is that Genesis 11:26 gives the age at which Terah began fathering sons, with Abram listed first for prominence rather than birth order. The dates here follow that reading.
